Experienced Worker Test: Candidates who hold previous experience may be eligible for an experienced worker test.
Course Duration: To be determined upon application and confirmation of experience.
Course Outcome: Full Npors qualification will be awarded on successful completion of training and tests.

Course Description

  • Identify the roles and responsibilities’ of the material re-handler operator
  • use of the operator’s manual
  • Understand the names and components of the excavator and their function
  • Correctly mount and dismount the material re-handler
  • Understand the dangers of underground services, overhead cables and other hazards on site
  • Carry out pre use checks, functional checks and correct shut down procedures
  • Be able to locate identify the controls and their functions
  • Prepare the machine for site travel
  • Configure material re-handler for travelling across various terrains in open and confined spaces
  • Carry out all necessary safety checks in the work area
  • Carry out various loading exercises
  • Operator trained theory test
