Experienced Worker Test: Candidates who hold previous experience may be eligible for an experienced worker test.
Course Duration: To be determined upon application and confirmation of experience.
Course Outcome: Full Npors qualification will be awarded on successful completion of training and tests.

Course Description

  • Carry out all pre use checks, functional checks and correct shut down procedure
  • Identify the hazards on site
  • Place the chipper in and out of service
  • Understand the names and components of the chipper and their function
  • Operate machine safely and efficiently
  • Set up chipper to be loaded
  • Set up for correct chipping ratio
  • Correct chipping procedures
  • Safe operating procedures of augers
  • Manoeuvring in confined spaces and open spaces laden and unladen
  • Operator trained theory test
