Experienced Worker Test: Candidates who hold previous experience may be eligible for an experienced worker test.
Course Duration: To be determined upon application and confirmation of experience.
Course Outcome: Full Npors qualification will be awarded on successful completion of training and tests.

Course Description

  • Identify the roles and responsibilities’ of the paver operator
  • Carry out pre use checks, functional checks and correct shut down procedures
  • Understand the names and components of the paver and their function
  • Place the paver in and out of service
  • Use of the operator’s manual
  • Apply all necessary safety precautions
  • Operating procedures using screwmen
  • Safe operating procedures of augers and pans
  • Relevant legislations
  • Positioning of paver to be loaded by lorry
  • Preparing for travel
  • Manoeuvring in confined spaces and open areas
  • Operator trained theory test
