Experienced Worker Test: Candidates who hold previous experience may be eligible for an experienced worker test.
Course Duration: To be determined upon application and confirmation of experience.
Course Outcome: Full Npors qualification will be awarded on successful completion of training and tests.

Course Description

  • Carry out pre use checks, functional checks and correct shut down procedures
  • Understand the names and components of the skid steer and their uses
  • Use of the operator’s manual
  • Preparing for site travel
  • Manoeuvring in confined spaces and open spaces laden and unladen
  • Travel up and down various grades of inclines laden and unladed
  • Set up for loading duties
  • Loading into hoppers, dumpers and other vehicles and various discharging procedures
  • Place the skid steer shovel in and out of service
  • Reinstate, spread and level various types of ground
  • Form ramps and stock piles of various materials
  • Apply all necessary safety precautions
  • Operator trained theory test
