Experienced Worker Test: Candidates who hold previous experience may be eligible for an experienced worker test.
Course Duration: To be determined upon application and confirmation of experience.
Course Outcome: Full Npors qualification will be awarded on successful completion of training and tests

Course Description

  • Identify the roles and responsibilities’ of a excavator marshal- banksperson
  • Follow and comply with risk assessment, method statements and permits having knowledge of what equipment is being used
  • Task specific PPE
  • Carry out all pre excavating checks
  • Explain and identify hazards, underground services and overhead cables
  • Agree on the hands signals to be used with operator and emergency procedures
  • Identify risks the excavator can have on site
  • Poisoning of Marshall in a safe place
  • Carry out safety checks on the work area walking the job
  • Identify and explain the risks and safe digging practises put in place when digging near underground services
  • Carry out all end of shift checks
