Experienced Worker Test: Candidates who hold previous experience may be eligible for an experienced worker test.
Course Duration: To be determined upon application and confirmation of experience.
Course Outcome: Full Npors qualification will be awarded on successful completion of training and tests.

Course Description

  • Be able to identify, locate and understand the safe working load (SWL)
  • Understand and explain the hazards including overhead power lines
  • Read and comply with the lift chart
  • Explain different lift procedures
  • Agree hand signals to be used with be slinger signaller/ marshal
  • Ensure the excavator is in a safe condition to be used for the task
  • How to plan a lift and do a test lift
  • Access and determine the weight and size of loads
  • Environmental considerations
  • Carry out end of shift checks
  • Operator trained theory test
